What if men get pregnant?

Oh well, while I was putting my baby girl to sleep and realized what I've been through during pregnancy, I was also wondering what if men get pregnant too. You know, just to be fair. Sometimes the unthinkable, unbelievable and impossible things can happen. The notion of pregnant men may still seem to belong to the realm of fiction and imagination but sh*t happens, I mean it happens. LOL Look what happened to Thomas Beatie, a man who used to be a woman before having gender reassignment surgery claims he is five months pregnant and expecting a baby girl in July. teehee! Or whatever happened to Sanju Bhagat's stomach that was so swollen he looked nine months pregnant and could barely breathe, is still a mystery. For nearly four decades, Bhagat carried the body of his twin.

That's why I can't help but wonder what if all men get pregnant for real? Haha This is so much fun. So here are some of my twisted thoughts and my humble opinion...
If men get pregnant,
  • baby showers for men shall include a drinking bar and videos over the last World Cup, for NBA, football or boxing!
  • abortion would be legalized and worse, it could be a sacrament! amp!
  • the words. "push! push!" will be changed into "punch!punch!)
  • the OB gyne should be strong and ready for some kicks and punches while the steel bars in the delivery room have to be stronger to keep it from bending (Wow! Superman is that you?!?)
  • the maternal ward will become Paternal ward
  • maternity leave would be longer with full pay
  • men would be more sensitive and emotional and would be more eager to talk about commitment
  • men could use their briefcases as diaper bags
  • there'll be a new line of clothing, the paternity suit
  • they have to stay for nine months in bed watching sports channel
  • they get to wear skirts and tights with baby doll blouses Ooopsie! I don't think men can handle getting pregnant anyway except for gay men who would really love it for sure! LOL So for the umpteenth time, what if men really get pregnant, oh well, IMHO, I think women will rule the world! Woohoo!

Wanted: Odeskers (jobs in Odesk) try it!

I just joined The On Demand Global Workforce - oDesk
and I'm loving it and it looks promising! But what is oDesk
all about anyway? Well, for those who doesn't know, it is an impressive web service or Internet startup that provides an online marketplace for hiring global technical talent AND visual web-based collaboration tools to manage remote teams.

A quick check shows a little over 9% of the total active providers on oDesk are from the U.S. , most of the providers as I observe are either Indian of Filipino who usually has a lower pay rate . Some of them are from Russia, China, even a few from Brazil. As we all know, the cost of living here is different in other countries. As a former provider in oDesk
, what i liked about it is that I was paid what I was worth and I also did not have to pay for gas to travel to and from work, daycare costs were completely eliminated as well as a few other work related expenses. Not to mention, I am my own boss and I don't have to deal with some badass supervisors or officemates. Of course, there were issues of trusting the buyer or vise versa but I guess it's all worth it. It's so easy to get started! You just have to register, create an account wherein hey use verification email to avoid spam. Once you confirm there are few more steps like some more compulsory details of your profile, areas of your expertise etc. before the account gets activated. You will need a Yahoo IM to communicate with the buyers. Also playing a bit with your profile is a plus and making it more enticing and attractive won't hurt. Upload your photo, enter your CV, education, skills, set your hourly rate, fill in details on your portfolio. There is a limit to how many jobs or opportunities you can apply to and this limit gets higher once you have your profile complete. When it comes to the limit you can rise it also by taking some of the free tests. I find those test to be of a good quality and fair so this feature is a very good one.
The On Demand Global Workforce - oDesk

As for me, I’ve been using odesk for the past few weeks. It seems legitimate enough. It is a good way to connect to providers. It gave me a good opportunity to start with some freelance writing. So if you're a WAHM or a freelance writer or programmer or whatever, you have to try this because freelancing is more fun with oDesk! i think it is also easier for us Filipinos to stand-out in Odesk coz we have the best American english in Asia so communicating with mostly American employers is not a problem and that is one great advantage for us in my experience. If you have the skills and the right attitude to do remote work, odesk is for you. So why don't you try it, join the The On Demand Global Workforce - oDeskor click the banner in this post or the Odesk link on my sidebar. :)

hoverspot!

HOVERSPOT=new place to hover=new myspace=new friendster

It is the new entrant in the MySpace-wannabe category, offering profile pages, networking and photo galleries. But they’ve also tried to come up with a unique twist: a points system that rewards users for uploading photos, inviting friends, logging in regularly, adding blog entries and leaving comments. The more points you have, the more chances you have to win prizes like an iPod Nano! I just hope it's for real and not just another scam or social networking gimmick!

All in all, it’s an underwhelming experience and there’s nothing here that hasn’t been done before and the points system isn’t all that compelling. But still, I'm uber loyal and an addict Friendster user and I still dunno if Hoverspot is as good as Friendster but it's still worth a try! Meanwhile, you’ll be earning points that can enter you into many contests. And if you really like the site, or just LOVE the logo’s baby, you can go to the shop and buy clothes, bags and teddy bears that bear the logo.

Feel free to add me to your friends list. Just click here!

Sweet sweet victory!

MANNY Pacman Pacquiao, the Pambansang Kamao, won by sporting a close and exciting split decision victory in a 12-round battle to etch his name in the record books of professional boxing. Manny is the new WBC and Ring Super Featherweight Champion of the World! Woohoo!

It's a very close fight though, with Marquez was showing off on the first two rounds but Manny came back in the third round with a short left hook that sent Marquez crushing on his back. Manny pressed on for the kill but Marquez, noted for his sweet counterpunching style weathered the attack as the bell sounded for the round pressed on for the kill but Marquez, noted for his sweet counterpunching style weathered the attack as the bell sounded for the round. amp! It was the third lineal title for Manny, which established him as the only boxer in the history of sports to capture both the flyweight and super featherweight crown and also held the super bantamweight.

Oh well, today is the day where Pacman wins, there's no traffic, there's no war, there's 0% crime rate, and today is the day where all
Filipinos set aside political problems and celebrate boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao’s sensational victory.

and guess what?? Pacman was expected to receive a whooping five million pesos plus more billboards and commercials await, from the battle, with Marquez taking home 1.5M ..not bad huh? *wink*

There's a new explosive bomb in town! It's called SnapBomb which is a new paid to blog or paid to review site. I just joined so I thought I could create some buzz about it.

Forbidden Phrases

Just had a small fight or argument or a bit of discussion last week with my hubs. Actually, I started it. LOL.. and I just want to share to you guys the five forbidden phrases that you should not say to your wifey/ girlfriend during a fight!

So let's just accept the fact that women, as far as I know, are far more sensitive and emotional than men and we (women) often freak out ( often at men) for no discernible reason, and sometimes, for no reason at all. That's why during a fight, I found out that there are five phrases hat you shouldn't say to your wife/ girlfriend. You simply have to watch for the words or phrases that once said will eventually result in explosion or end up fighting like Mr. and Mrs. Smith. LOL

So here are the five forbidden phrases...
  • Shut up.
  • I love you.
  • I dunno. (Ewan ko sa yo!) It's up to you.(Bahala ka na!)
  • You knew I was this way..
  • Nothing.
But if you happen to tell her those words thinking it's harmless, just try to tell her some of the magic words to calm her like...
  • Sorry. I know it's my fault..
  • You are just so beautiful.
  • Just tell me everything
  • I love you and I mean it.
  • or just listen!!! :)
hth.

the new crowning g(L)ory!

IMHO, I don’t want to criticize this girl, but from what I know regarding the past winners in Bb. Pilipinas, they MUST have Beauty and Brains, which is obviously not the case with this one.

I think she just made it to the Tof ten, I mean, Top Ten Worst Beauty pageant interviews EVER — and the worst part is…she won! Isn't it amazing?? There was the “my pamily/family”, “there was the one”, “my family is the most important persons”. My gawd! It was humiliating to the extent of downright funny.

So here goes her answer (with confidence)...
“no, i dont feel any pressure ryt now..well my family’s role 4 me is so important, becoz THERE was d..DEER was the one…who’s very..haha..ohh..im so sorry..my PAMILY..my family..OH MY GOD..im’.. .ok..i’m so sory..i told you that im so confident..eto..ahm wait.HAHAHA..ahmm..sori guys bcoz this was rili my 1st pageant ever..bcoz im only 17 yrs old..and i did not expect dat i came from one of the TAF 10..so..but i said DOT my PAMILY ES the most important persons in my laayff..” whew!

The thing is she even explained with the "ETO" that it is her first time plus she’s only 17 years old. As far as I know, if we commit mistakes especially on stage, no explanation will make it right. You screwed the whole thing, that’s about it! amp! and did I say I'm not going to criticize or judge her for that? Oooops, I'm sorry. I'm only human (tao lang)..ehehe Remember the saying "t takes one to know one." and Don't judge the cover by its book." LOL So puhlease wag nyo sya i-judge...(and yes, it includes me!) As for me, seriously...she's not dumb nor stupid...or maybe the judges are!?? lol I just hope she'll bring an interpreter with her when she represents our country in the Miss World pageant. I hope she prepares well for it and represent herself well. She needs to work out with her grammar and pronunciation thoug. Goodluck to her and may she take the criticisms a challenge to improve herself. :)

Ken Lee??

this is the lyrics of Without You by Mariah Carey!

A Bulgarian woman attempts to sing Mariah Carey's song. Here are the lyrics in English:

No I can't forget this evening
Or your face as you were leaving
But I guess that's just the way
The story goes

You always smile
But in your eyes
Your sorrow shows
Yes it shows

I can't live
If living is without you
I can't live I can't give anymore
I can't live
If living is without you
I can't give I can't give anymore

Now, see if you can understand this woman's English version... with the new title "Ken Lee"

No a ken tokke tu seevmen,
No jong list tazha maleeve,
uer a geza-zhu zhabatenan lechu mo-o-o-o...
New wonoz tu nigh moulinigh
Yo sorra sho, yes i sho...
Ken Lee, to libu-dibu-dalchu-u-u ...
ken lee meju more

PAGING KEN LEEEEE!!! AMP!

:) That's what you call good TV and bad English! LOL Hilarious!

my laws of reality

laws of reality that i believe in and live out!

...each of us is a vital thread in another person's tapestry; our lives are woven together for a reason.
...some won't appreciate what you say or do, but as long as you speak honestly from the heart, you'll be fine.
...this is not a perfect world, this is not a perfect life; but life loves the person who dares to live it being real.
...never ever get into fights with ugly people; they have literally and figuratively, nothing to lose.
...one of the best things to hold on to in this world is a friend...and someone good enough for you to love.
...love and be loved. Love doesn't mean you have to end up together. So long as you know someone out there loves you and you love that person, that's enough.
