4 Reasons Why You Shoud Try LBC’s Two New Services, Cash on Pickup and Cash on Delivery

For start-up entrepreneurs or online sellers like me, you must know all about the available payment solutions. Personally, I always find debit/credit card payments most convenient, but a few days back, after going through a not-so-smooth online payment transaction with a client, I had to rethink my options and find a more reliable and flexible solution in settling payments. Also, I believe that a strong and dependable courier company can support your business immensely. It can ensure a fulfilling experience for your buyers and keep them coming back for more.

Aside from being an entrepreneur who wishes to widen our network, I'm also an online shopper because who doesn't love online shopping? No one ever wants to get stuck in congested traffic (I'm looking at you, EDSA!) just to buy a few products in a mall, at least not for me. I'm also scared of being scammed by bogus sellers.

What we need? And what online sellers and buyers REALLY wish for most ardently? Cash on Pickup and Cash on Delivery. LBC, one of the most trusted courier companies in the country, recently launched these two new services that promises to change the face of e-commerce.

At the formal launch held at New World Makati among the company of online partners, media, bloggers and LBC officials, the Philippines’ leading logistics company introduced the Cash on Pickup (COP) and Cash on Delivery (COD) aimed at addressing the growing market trend of online and e-commerce business.

COP and COD utilizes two of  LBC’s core services: as a courier of parcels & boxes, and as a  payment collection channel. As a trading place of the buyer and the seller, LBC’s COP guarantees convenient and seamless transactions between seller and buyer.

Oliver Valentin, LBC Express PH Retail Operations Senior Vice President says: “This service targets both small online sellers like stay-at-home moms, students and starting entrepreneurs. On the side of online buyers,  LBC aims to enable customers enjoy and maximize their shopping experience, with just a few taps on their mobile phones or computers. The entry of COP and COD is a testament to how LBC is willing and able to answer the new demands of the digital age- as well as the ever evolving needs of the market. With these new services,  we are committed to provide the Filipino market with the same brand of reliability and convenience that LBC has long been known for”.

These two services are payment solutions that are readily accepted by both buyers and sellers for all the following reasons:
  •  Convenience
Yasss. No more whining about "Meet up na naman!?" besh! Because the buyer can now add LBC as a pick up point, instead of the traditional delivery scheme -like delivered at home, office, or meet ups.

For Cash on Pickup, your buyer will receive an SMS notifying that item is ready for pick-up. On the other hand, you will be notified once the buyer has paid and picked-up his/her item. The payment will then be deposited to your registered bank account.

You can also avail the same branch pick-up at a low cost of ₱70. Simply drop off your item and let your customer pick up at the same branch. In my opinion, it may not be ideal for some people as you have to go to the branch, wait in line and so on. But it might be the cheapest option.

For COD, LBC’s wide service network guarantees that your customer’s order will be delivered straight to their place. This is actually a good thing, because before, COD transactions through LBC are only available to their corporate partners like Lazada. So if you're a seller, there's no need to create an account with online shopping sites to offer COD option to your buyers. It's also one of the preferred payment modes of buyers.

Just forward your item/s to an LBC branch, and LBC will take care of collecting the payment for you upon delivery. After which, LBC will deposit collected payments to your registered bank account within 3 days.
  • Safe and secure transactions
The online transactions are also guaranteed safe and reliable  as sellers are assured that he or she will get paid, while the buyer will get the products in mint condition. For most buyers like me, I find it easy to pay in cash instead of going through the trouble of entering my card details.

That, my friend, is the beauty of “Kaliwaan” system, which gives peace of mind and make the sales transactions as easy as possible.
  • Wide network and serviceable areas
And as we all know, LBC has its operations nationwide with over 1300 branches, so business to consumer and customer to customer transactions are definitely faster.  It also allows buyers to shop from anywhere in the Philippines and reach more customers nationwide.

  • Affordable

LBC’s rates has promises to be more competitive as it hopes to provide value for money for every buyer and seller.  Check out the rates on their website: https://codcop.lbcexpress.com/ .

And the best thing about Retail COP and COD is that sellers only need to go to any LBC branch. They don’t even need to register their business to start availing of the services right away.

In an ideal world, the ideal courier company's services would be better priced, reliable, efficient, and able to reach wider areas. Happy to report that in the real world, LBC's COP/COD services will definitely change the game for PH’s E-Commerce industry.

To avail of these services, visit an LBC branch near you.

  2. Medjo confuse lang ako... So pag ikaw ang sender magbabayad ka ng service charge? Tapos si reciever magbabayad din ng shipping fee sa LBC? So what disturbs me is kung ikaw ay isang seller tas nag ship ng items through COD OR COP edi lugi kapa din... Kasi nagbayad ka ng service charge tapos kukunin pa ni LBC yung shipping fees sa reciever tas yung ededepot nila sa account mo lang is yung total price ng items dba? Am i right or am i really right? 😂

    1. You're totally wrong. Lbc deposits the total price of items + the shipping fee. To sum it up, kung magkano ang binayad ng receiever, including the shipping fee, idedeposit nila yun sayo ng buo.
