Bloggers Conference at Thunderbird Resorts Fiesta Casino in Rizal

Easily one of the most fun and successful events in recent memory, the Bloggers Conference held last August 10, 2013 at the Events Center of Thunderbird Resorts -Fiesta Casino in Rizal, was a ton of fun for bloggers. Organized by Thunderbird Resorts staff and co-blogger Flow Galindez, the conference was a fun and casual social gathering where great news and promotions of the casino were told and new friendships were forged.

The overall vibe at the Events Center was relaxing and the setting was intimate. The day began with a very interactive social setting, fun games, great food, live blogging, swanky prizes and an awesome group of fellow bloggers ready to mingle! Between sharing instagram photos, updating our social apps and snapping group pictures there simply just wasn't enough greeting time to get to everyone. Nonetheless, I was very pleased to have reconnected with a few bloggers and met some amazing new ones that day.

The fun games got the whole crowd roaring with laughter especially our team, Pink Panther (Go Pink!) Our team was the most energetic with our very dynamic Team Leader, Omar Itay. Everyone did an excellent job. Long story short, our team won. Yay!

Aside from the fun and interactive side to it, Fabio Moretti, Thunderbird's Country Maanager, also discussed about the new Double Down slot machine games. We went on a tour of the hotel and then we had a chance to play Baccarat and slot machines at the casino. Cradled on a ridge at the foothill of the Sierra Madre overlooking Laguna de Bay, it is a complete-amenity hotel with a 180 degree view infinity pool, outdoor activity area, indoor conference venues, and a world-class gaming facility.

Thunderbird Resort in Rizal is a few miles outside Manila. Just 40 minutes away from the Metropolis, it is a brisk escape to a relaxed resort setting. It is a huge resort and has great facilities. They have a pool bar, swimming pool area, molave outdoor grass, cabana bar, spa, videoke rooms, bike lanes, offroad trails and a lot more. They have a casino which is one of its main attractions.

The Koi Restaurant features a fusion of popular Asian cuisine and select Mediterranean dishes. Its salad bar offers a sumptuous selection of appetizers, soup, and fresh breads. Here are some of the sumptuous dishes that we sampled:

The infinity pool provides a paronamic and breathtaking view of the Laguna de Bay and Manila Skyline even while taking a dip and swimming.

Unlike the previous conferences that I’d been, it didn’t emphasize on what bloggers could get, instead it focused on what we could share to other leisure travelers – and that was a huge takeaway for me. I sure hope to be back soon.
