And on Tuesday, I headed out to the beautiful lobby of the Grand Phoenix Hotel Manila for its annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony. It's one of my fave city escapes for ultimate relaxation, and if you haven't stayed there yet, this well-loved sleep sanctuary will make staying in the country's busiest city a pleasure every single time.
The guests were treated to a number of special performances from different dance groups. Adorned with tens of thousands of red, green and white lights, all of us were delighted in the traditional ceremony as the magnificent 10-feet tree was lit.
For this year’s tree lighting ceremony, they came up with the theme “A Holly Jolly Christmas” and colors of white, red, and green to represent the hope and passion for new beginnings and undertakings. Its simplicity brings more value than all the fancy decors combined and reminds us the true meaning of Christmas; which is the birth of our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, and the hope He brings to us all.
Golden Phoenix Hotel Manila, located in Pasay City, offers a whole new world of distinctive experiences for corporate and leisure tourists. It is conveniently located next to the biggest shopping mall in the Philippines – SM Mall of Asia, as well as sports and concert venues – SMX Convention Center, MOA Arena, and is in the heart of the Entertainment Center of Metro Manila. I really enjoyed the sumptuous dinner and relaxing massage at the newly opened cafe and wellness lounge with my gorgeous Bloggerbabes, Rochelle and Kaycee.
In order to provide a more enriching experience for the hotel’s guests, Christine Urbanozo – Ibarreta, Director for Sales and Marketing, announced their three major partners; Vine Aesthetics, Wonderful Bliss Spa, and Phoenix Beauty Spa. Phoenix Wellness Lounge services include: in-room manicure, pedicure, and hair services, relaxing whole body massage packages, and as well as a wide selection of aesthetic skincare medical treatments.
Ground UP Café, will be one of the latest coffee shops growing in the business district. The name “Ground UP” was inspired on their idea of doing business; which is to always work their way from the bottom to the top, in the same way of ground to the up. No easy takes. No shortcuts. Each step is a little success on its own and little successes do add up on the long run. The cafe will open daily to serve hot and cold coffee concoction and beverages with a lot of sweets and pastries to choose from to compliment the drink from sun up to lights out.
“I am thrilled to introduce latest outlets of the hotel,” says Ms. Ibarreta. “It has been a vision of the company to always render relevant quality products, services, and friendly atmosphere to any individual who enters our doors.”
The Phoenix Wellness Lounge and GroundUp Café is found at the 2nd floor of the hotel and is open from Mondays to Sundays.
The Christmas carols had it right indeed, “Have a holly, jolly Christmas. It’s the best time of the year.”
