“It’s Showtime” Goes to Canada this September

It may have been back to school for students and the September or autumnal equinox of North America is just around the corner, but don’t count out summer completely just yet in the country.

The heat from ABS-CBN TFC’s summer event series continues to sizzle with back-to-back live presentations of “It’s Showtime” on September 20 at the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto and September 21 at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton.

The most watched noontime show in the Philippines and globally on TFC, which brought to worldwide consciousness the hilarious, wackiest, undeniably entertaining and distinctly Filipino-flavored contests like Kalokalike, Mini Me, I Am Pogay,That’s My Tomboy, and PINASikat, is bringing the party team to fans in Canada for a guaranteed laugh-a-minute and variety extravaganza.

Coming to Canada to entertain the “madlang people” are the immensely popular Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda, Karylle, Vhong Navarro, Billy Crawford, Kuya Kim Atienza, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Jhong Hilario, Ryan Bang, Coleen Garcia and Eric Tai.

The tightly knit cast of “It’s Showtime” before and behind cameras has become beloved to millions of followers.  What began as a search for the country’s most entertaining acts a few years ago turned out to be a hit variety program that launched a thousand trends for Filipinos here and abroad.

The show has, in its own way, established itself as its own brand of entertainment thriving on spontaneity and animated conversations. It is more fun in “It’s Showtime” as it keeps churning out popular catchphrases and gimmicks, draws people and barangays or townsfolk together to showcase their talents, and finds thrill and joy in the most mundane situations.

The September 20 show is brought to Toronto in partnership with Great Smile Denture Clinic while the September 21 show is brought to Edmonton in partnership with 3J Event Services. TFC and Philippine Airlines are presenting sponsors of both shows in association with Megaworld and Belo Medical Group.

As the show’s theme song goes, “This is your show, this is your time, Magpasikat na, It’s Showtime.”  For ticket information, please call @ Toronto: 416-4319444
