I was in a hurry. I insisted my hubby to go with me for a quick shopping trip. Just because I believe that behind every strong woman is a man who would carry her bags from all the shopping. Unfortunately, like most men, he found shopping boring and preferred to stay at home.
So I went shopping alone and snuck off to the Great Northern Sale at SM North Edsa. For me, it sounded like the great Northern Star, the prominent star that lies closest in the sky to the north celestial pole. I was lookin' at it just like a star, only shinier.. and I was determined to get it.
I imagined myself going on a massive shopping spree, galavanting around the SM Department Store with hundreds of shopping bags slung over my arms and shoulder, overly excited and giddy with excitement at the sight of Sale items and more. Shoes? Dress? Bra? Bag? Pants? Ahh, the SM Department Store was my oyster. I was excited because that was my first ever Great Northern Sale. Big deal, my friend. Huge.
GNS was packed! |
Shoppers gone wild! |
Guess so.
Then I thought, "So this is how wild things can get at SM North Edsa's Great Northern Sale. Shoppers gone wild and major discounts everywhere you look! There were way too many people in a shopping mall that size, and I've never seen shoppers so crazy. Oh well, who doesn't love a good sale?
I was also a bit overwhelmed with all the signs "50-70% OFF". I guess SM North Edsa is designed to overwhelm you with brightness and sensory overstimulation so you may spend mindlessly. All because it's a SALE day! Sure the birth of my daughter was special but I'd rate the day the Great Northern Sale started pretty high up there too (and I knew that it was going to be the death of me!) It's by far, one of the busiest, if not the busiest shopping day of the year. How I wish the Great Northern Sale has never ever ended. Or better yet, I wish I could have unlimited money for shopping.
Then I went up to the 3rd floor at Kid's section and I was like, wanting everything in sight. I browsed for a few more hours and I finished a whole set of K-pop inspired outfit for my little girl and a running shorts for my hubby. Sweet!
Glad to say that "I came, I saw, I conquered." :)
Here's a peek of my shopping haul and all the goodies I scored from the GNS:
Loving my daughter's K-pop outfitey from SM Kids' K-Pop Collection. So havey! I might even get her to join the SM Kids' Search for Toon Fest K-Pop Rising Star! Yay! |
On the other hand, the least favorite part of shopping for me is the payment part and the post-shopping calculation ( I seriously hate Math). The best part though was when I took advantage of the 50-70% off on sale items and I was able to save over 50% in total. Wow. Just wow. I have to say it felt pretty darn good.
After a few hours of shopping, I used my Gourmet Card where anyone can have an ultimate dining privilege and get lots of freebies and discounts from participating restaurants. I loved it!
So here's a tip, for those guys who want to know how to satisfy a woman:
The G spot is located at the end of the word shopping, and at the first word of the phrase "Great Northern Sale". So don't dare miss out the great opportunity to shop for the next Great Northern Sale at SM next year where you can get up to 70% off on selected brands.
Happy shopping!
