Typhoon ONDOY: what a disaster!

Typhoon Ondoy batters Manila.

Death toll hits 50. (as of 09-27-09)
UPDATE: as of 09-28-09 climbed up to 106 dead and missing

It was a major flood because places (like ours in Makati) that are not flood-prone experienced massive flooding and had our share of flood water that was neck-deep yesterday. Now, it's knee-deep outside and we obviously can't still go out.

Thousands of people were stranded


Over 1,800 people were forced to flee their homes and take refuge in evacuation centers due to rising waters.

Cristine Reyes and other stars like Jennica Garcia, Carmina Villaruel, Gladys Reyes, Camille Pratts,etc.. not spared by Ondoy.

Even some celebrities felt the wrath of tropical storm 'Ondoy' as rising flood waters entered and ravaged their plush homes. Cristine was stranded along with her mother and younger brother on top of their two-storey home in Provident Village in Marikina City for almost nine hours..

She was rescued by her sister's bf using his jetski.

It is indeed overwhelming and this has been called an epic flood.. tragic and this has been the worst so far.











Ondoy brought havoc...

Pagasa said that a month's worth of rain fell in six hours.... thousands of people needed to be rescued and trapped in their houses, these people were waiting to be rescued on their rooftops...

My thoughts and prayers are with all the Filipinos suffering of this massive climate catastrophe and all victims of Typhoon Ondoy. All I could do is to say a prayer that they will all be safe and well. Please give time for prayers and special thoughts for the victims of flood wrought by Typhoon Ondoy.
