Sleepy? Drowsy? sleep-deprived? i think that's me!

Frankly pregnant...

-> This is the prescribed and probably the best sleeping position for pregnant woman like me and I've been doing this for the last 5 months but these past few days, it's not working for me at all! or maybe I'm just having an insomnia... I'm wide awake in the middle of the night but sleepy and tired the whole day... ( ding! eye bags alert!).. so there's back pains, insomnia, heartburn and then some... *me whining*

So I just try and try and try to do my best to follow the tips I've gathered from my friends and the pregnancy books that I have, so here they are:
  • sleep on your left side to allow for the best blood flow to the fetus and to your uterus and kidneys. Avoid lying flat on your back for a long period of time.
  • Water!!! Drink lots of fluids during the day, but cut down before bedtime.
  • To prevent heartburn, do not eat large amounts of spicy, acidic (such as tomato products), or fried foods. If heartburn is a problem, sleep with your head elevated on pillows.
  • Exercise regularly to help you stay healthy, improve your circulation, and reduce leg cramps which I cannot do on a daily basis 'cause I feel so sleepy the whole day.
  • Special pregnancy pillows and wedges may help you sleep better. Or use regular pillows to support your body...that's why I've got lots of pillows but is there such thing as magic pillow? thinking...
  • Naps may help.
  • Relax. Unwind. Meditate? ( I'm trying..)
oh well... I need to get some Zzzzzs...
