Serenitea creates #MomentsOfCompassion on its 10th anniversary

Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”

Well, Mother Teresa was right.

Not everyone will have one big contribution to the world, but a great way to do great things is with small acts of kindness all the time.

Sometimes it’s hard to see how we can help others because we are busy and focused on our own lives. As for me, I have been blessed with 2 little humans who make me smile everyday, and I have been teaching them lately that empathy, compassion and kind words or gestures cost nothing. All of which are free and necessary to become happy human beings.

That it's not hard to be nice and to make someone's day better.

That they don't have to be rich, old or big enough in order to give back.

That it's okay to make someone feel that he is worth the time for us to stop and give him a refreshing drink. Of course, it's one of our favorite drinks at Serenitea, the Brown Sugar with Holly's Fresh Milk (masarap sya, promise!)
The old man's smile says it all. 😊
So much ❤ love that language doesn't even matter.

That's why, as an advocate of hope, I am supporting Serenitea’s #MomentsofCompassion, a campaign which started last October as a culmination of its 10th anniversary celebration. Serenitea believes that it’s time to give back and share the blessings to the community that put them on the map.

A portion of sales of Serenitea's Brown Sugar Series from October to December 2018 was donated to Bahay Aruga.

The founders of Serenitea, Juliet Chen (General Manager-North) and Jennifer Wong

(General Manager-South)with Serenitea's Brand ambassador, Richard Juan awards 15% of their brown sugar series sales to Bahay Aruga - a halfway house for pediatric cancer patients.

Richard Juan

❤️ Every cup of Brown Sugar Series is my own little way of helping the little "warriors" of Bahay Aruga who fight their hearts out against cancer every day. 💚 As part of this advocacy, we celebrate the bravery of kids who are battling this illness and honor their families' strength and resilience.

The founders of Serenitea, Juliet Chen (General Manager-North) and Jennifer Wong
(General Manager-South) believe that compassion is the cornerstone of humankind. The founders
believe that anyone can help make the world better in their own little way, whether through
charitable acts of service or donations. Furthermore, these little acts contribute to a bigger purpose
or a greater good.

What makes this campaign special is that customers are involved in this endeavor because the brand believes that customers are an integral part of the Serenitea family.

Customers joined the advocacy by purchasing any of the Brown Sugar series items:

Pearland Grass Jelly Brown Sugar (a concoction made with luscious brown sugar ice, chewy pearls,
grass jelly, and cream that’s inspired by a Taiwanese dessert served in a cup); Pearl Brown Sugar
Taho (a chilled Taho sweetened with luscious brown sugar ice and topped with freshly cooked
chewy pearls); Pearl Brown Sugar with Holly’s Milk (a concoction made with chewy pearls
drenched in luscious brown sugar syrup mixed with creamy premium farm fresh milk); and Pearl
Brown Sugar (a concoction made with chewy pearls drenched in luscious brown sugar syrup,
mixed with creamy premium farm fresh milk, topped with our Signature Cheese Frost and
generously sprinkled with Muscovado).

The Brown Sugar series is one-of-a-kind because of its creamier taste without an overpowering sweetness. More so, the inclusion of a popular Filipino treat such as taho is also a way to take a beloved Pinoy street snack a notch higher for a cozy tea shop.

As it continues to celebrate its 10th anniversary in business, Serenitea will continue its
mission to serve the best tea, coffee, and snacks in town, while giving back and improving the
lives of others through charitable work.

Have a blessed weekend everyone! ❤️
