Chucks for Charity: Converse Gets a Confidently Beautiful Makeover Courtesy of 2016 Miss Universe Candidates

Forget the swimsuit and the national costume portion of the Miss Universe pageant, this set of personalized kicks which was showcased yesterday,  is what's really worth ogling. At least 19 candidates from the 2016 Miss Universe competition were tasked with recreating a nearly 100-year-old classic shoe, Converse All Star.

So, how do you personalize a pair of Chucks like a Queen? If you're Miss Philippines Maxine Medina, you put blue and green watercolor on it. See? Isn't it ahh-mazing?

The Miss Universe candidates lent their time and creativity to produce customized Converse sneakers to be auctioned for the Positive Action Foundation.  A foundation supported by the Ms Universe organization, Positive Action Foundation is devoted into helping individuals living with HIV/AIDS and their families particularly those who are displaced from their employment due to HIV phenomenon.
