Lucas' 1st Airplane Themed Birthday Party

Our adorable Shuttercount baby, Lucas, celebrated his first year of sky-high adventure at an airplane-themed birthday party. This one takes off with all the festive details such as vintage planes that represent exciting adventures and high hopes for the future.

Everything is captured in gorgeous detail by Benj of Shuttercount Photography. So please find your seat, fasten your seat belt, prepare for takeoff and be inspired by some really cute party ideas! Lucas' adventure begins with the witty hashtag #AirLukeOne.

The entrance is quite unique and special, with a road runway, lamps, mini suitcases and check-in setting nearby. The runway going down the middle of the entrance door is so clever.

I love the clouds and the cute vintage airplane that zooms across a simple backdrop, complemented by beautiful blue skies, maps, clouds and hot air balloons. It looks like every little boy's dream with lots of details to take in. Blue, red and orange pop against fresh white. Yay!

The lovely candy buffet table is surrounded by adorable planes with jars of chocolates, cookies and thoughtfully portioned out theme-colored candies. This is a great spot where kids are reminded to pack some sweets before they take off.

Lucas' name is morphed into not one, not two but six mini cakes, plus the gorgeous centerpiece cake with a globe and suitcase from his Ninongs are spot-on!

The little party guests had a blast as they embarked on a fun and high-flying adventure. Even the adults enjoyed the games by flying some... you guessed it, paper airplanes!

Before going to the departure area, the kids visited the “baggage claim” area to pick up their party favors, cute tin boxes for each guest filled with sweet treats from Capt. Lucas.

Meet the super cute pilot and his gorgeous mommy..

First flight, first birthday, and lots of love made this gorgeous mom's first attempt in creating a birthday party a delightful success! Indeed, this party is filled with brilliant ideas that would work perfectly for a Hot Air Balloon or Airplane Party as well as a Travel Themed Party.
