SM Beauty: All Eyes On You

All women crave the same thing. However, it wasn't caffeine or even carbs, my friend.. it's makeup! As for me, I'm doing the "beautiful eyes" thingy and being "pacute" (and failing) since 1981, and I still haven't figured out the right eye makeup that suits me.

To be honest, I feel major embarrassment for my tiny knowledge on applying eye makeup, though I can't help but share my new know-how in throwing that right amount of shade, plus everything you’ll need to rock those brows on point and accentuate your powerful peepers.

Recently, SM Beauty launched its newest campaign, All Eyes On You, for the whole month of October. It inspires every woman to amp up their makeup game, highlighting four key eye makeup trends that are definitely perfect for the coming holiday festivities.

Below, this year’s four key makeup trends that were demonstrated by Visual Artist, Miss Valerie Tan. I've discovered how these trends get those creative juices flowing and shake up the usual basics.

'Tis the season to be jolly! Here's a Pop of Color that can instantly brighten up your eyes.

Sultry Neutrals is best for a kick of versatility without sacrificing style. Yes, earthly shades with a classic, come-hither look are never boring.

When you're feeling bold or when daring nights call for buttery mattes and dark hues, do the Shadow Play.

You can stand out amidst all the festivities with gilded eyes. The Gold Sparkle look gives the extra oomph, with a touch of gold, copper or bronze that can transform your eyes into this season's showstopper.

Top makeup artist, Xeng Zulueta, also gave a quick makeup tutorial. She differentiated, concretely, the art between "smoky eyes" and "smoldering eyes". She said that in order to get that "smoldering eye" look, just do a big squint or to look with the eyes almost closed as when there's a bright sunlight, a trick you ought to try.

She did the Shadow Play look on Ryza Cenon, who looked startlingly beautiful, fierce and sexy. This is one makeup trend that will surely make any girl feel ready to get back out there and stare down the jerks messing with her hustle. Hah!

We were able to play with colors and textures and before I start to dissect the eye makeup that I recreated, here's a brief review of eye-catching treats at such a cutting-edge and fabulous event.

Here's my attempt on "shadow play" look with a bit of "pop of color" using the heavily pigmented colors of Fashion 21 Eyeshadow Palette and BYS Glittery Eye Creme and Pencils.

Meanwhile, beauty junkies can stem their withdrawal symptoms on SM Beauty which seriously has irresistible offers and so much options perfect for any occasion.
