Unboxing: March 2015 Pond's Exclusive BDJ Box

I have a confession to make. I'm a sucker for BDJ Box. I know I don't necessarily need a monthly delivery of surprise "box of joy" but who wouldn't want to feel like a birthday girl once a month? Besides, my birthday's coming in 2 months. So when the box arrived at my door, I felt like I was getting an early birthday present.

And what I have for you today… is another BDJ box review! I just can’t get enough of them, I want to try them all and see which one is the best. It came just in time for summer primping. There's literally nothing in here I don't want.

The theme for this month is "What makes you different makes you beautiful!" So ladies, embrace your flaws. Don't compare or compete with others.

This box reminds women (and men-I'm pretty sure they have a few of those, too) to take a few minutes to celebrate themselves. After all, we all deserve the small luxuries.

Also, I discovered an amazing new product that I just can't live without. For March, Pond's Pearl Cleansing Gel was the clear winner.

What’s inside:

I've tried it.. and it's love at first wash. I love it so much I've added it already to my daily beauty regimen.

What I love: Fast, easy take-off for clinging makeups. You can still use this for cleaning both light and heavily-applied makeup. If you’re wearing heavy makeup, I suggest you use Pond’s cold cream for initial cleaning then this one, and you’re good to go.

I like the gel formulation. It cleanses my skin without drying it out. It foams a little bit, it’s very easy to lather and since it's a gel, it won’t trickle or dribble down on your face and you can leave it on your face for a couple of minutes to make sure it totally cleans your face.

It has a wonderful and refreshing sweet scent which by itself gives you that fresh feeling that last for hours and even when you perspire, the scent won’t totally evaporate. Indeed, it's a must-have!

Pond's Flawless White Ultra Luminous Serum, 30ml, Php480

It claims that it reduces stubborn dark spots and discoloration. I’m always apprehensive to splurge on a new skincare product because my sensitive skin can be unpredictable. This box allows me to use it and see the results in just a week, which means I won’t have to experience a bad bout of remorse.

Pond's Flawless White Dewy Rose Gel, 50g, Php399

Loved by Heart Evangelista-Escudero, there's no reason not to try and love it too. This month's beauty loot will surely make fall in love with well, all things "gel" and beautiful.



Another treat this month is Pond's Flawless White BB+ Cream (Light and Beige), 25g, Php299 which I have reviewed HERE on my blog already.



Who needs 3 different products when you can get all their benefits in one tube? Definitely worth the retail price. You can avoid wasting time on makeup shopping and cut down on your cosmetic budget by simply adding a multi-faceted solution to your beauty regimen like the Pond’s BB+ Cream.



In my opinion, it offers more than enough coverage as I don't need to apply concealer to any blemishes or dark circles under my eyes, but that obviously depends on what condition your skin is in.  It's also the perfect primer for those that need or want extra coverage.

Pond's Flawless White Re-Brightening Night Cream, 50g, Php340

I don’t use night cream on a regular basis, so I was happy to see this product in my beauty box.  I'm glad BDJ includes a complete set so I can try other products that I'm apprehensive to commit to, or aren’t part of my normal beauty routine. Review will be up soon.

The cost: Monthly BDJ Box subscription is Php580 Six out of the seven items are full size, which is really nice. The entire box was worth Php2,057.

The verdict: All in all, I was happy with the March BDJ BOx. I think this is one of their better boxes in months. This box is heavier on the skincare and lighter on the makeup than the previous box.  It has more skincare than makeup, but I'm glad it has at least one makeup item which is the Pond's BB Cream. The value is great and I’m happy with the sizes of the products as well.

It’s rare that I’m looking forward to another month of the bipolar Manila weather, but after receiving the March box, I can’t wait to see what April has in store. :)
