Kraft Tiger: Serving Up Affordable Nutrition for Your Kid's Baon

This morning;

Me: What do you want?
Maia: BISCUITS!
Me: When do you want them?
Maia: BISCUITS!
Me: Ok!

LOL Yes, it only means my daughter loves biscuits!

IN OTHER NEWS: Classes start June 13th. It is almost June and I'm already preparing my daughter for preschool. That said, one of my dilemmas as a mom is what to get her for baon/snacks in school. It is quite a challenge for me because... gaaaah leeeeh, she's such a notoriously picky eater! I want to give her healthy snacks that she will eventually enjoy eating in school instead of feeding her with highly processed foods full of sugar and additives. I also believe that kids who eat healthy, learn, behave and perform better in school.

I'm just glad I found the solution last Tuesday. :) I was invited to attend the Bulong Pulungan sa Sofitel which talks about the country's status on nutrition deficiency with Filipino kids, as well as fighting undernutrition.
Bulong Pululungan sa Sofitel

Nutrient deficiency is a key public health issue in our country and some other developing markets in Southeast Asia.

I've learned that normally, a kid needs about 1,400 kcal a day and only 21.5 percent meet or almost 4 out of 5 kids ages 6-12 do not meet their daily energy needs. This results to children having a weak immune system, poor growth and development and diseases. This also leads to poor performance of kids in school.

With fellow mommy bloggers, Mommy Leira of http://www.pagaspas.com/,  Mommy Jo of http://www.jobonsol.net/, and Mommy Angelyn of http://mommysmaglife.blogspot.com.

That brings us, moms, to support an advocacy of fighting undernutrition by giving our kids the best possible nutrition in their baon. With the tagline, "Ang tamang baon, may tamang nutrisyon. Labanan ang poor school performance," these crunchy biscuits are fortified with the nine vitamins and six minerals recommended by the World Food Programme.  Kraft Tiger Energy Biscuit contains Enermaxx, an unparalleled combination of 9 vitamins and 6 minerals which help provide kids with the energy they need. That's Vitamin A, D, E, B1, B2, B6, B9 and B12 and the minerals Calcium, Iron, Iodine, Magnesium, Selenium and Zinc. 15 essential micronutrients from just a pack of Tiger Energy Biscuit should help the child build strong bones, strengthen immunity and promote growth.

Kraft is one of the trusted brands and they believe that kids today need to get more active to be healthy. Through its campaigns, Tiger provides opportunities for kids to be physically active, while giving the proper nutrition in their baon. Best of all, they make amazing biscuits that the kids LOVE!  And as a girl born in Balanga where people love dipping biscuits to coffee for brekky, I can’t say no to a biscuit!

Let's bring out the Tiger!

I just had to try their biscuits, and after eating for a while I declared it to be the best energy biscuits ever. This is really saying something. These energy bisuits are amazing and these biscuits give slow release energy! Not only that, they taste amazing and it's not overly sweet! For some reason, when I hear they are fortified with vitamins and healthy-ish, I usually know it's bland, tasteless and I am not going to like it. So that was a real surprise. It was partly that the biscuit was crunchy & crispy, tasted homemade and was full of awesomeness because it's made of wheat and milk. For me, this is some kind of a superfood, and so good you might be inclined to do yourself a mischief. Be warned. Also, I was ecstatic because my little Maia loves it to bits!

Can't wait to pack them in my kiddo's school lunchbox and then happily eat them in the afternoon. Oh and I can't complain at the price either! There are six yummy biscuits in the package and I could not eat them all at once, unless I share them with my daughter. Let me tell ya, these biscuits are really good. Each bite of Tiger comes with jampacked energy to help bring out the winning spirit in every child. You could make a great breakfast or baon for your kiddo from these biscuits alone! It was hard not to fill up and your tot will have that much-needed energy for school.
With Tiger Energy biscuits, our kids get to enjoy a vitamin fortified, delicious snack. It's available in vanilla and chocolate flavor. Being a certified chocoholic, Maia loves the chocolate more than the vanilla. It’s affordable nutrition, and one of the ways to meet the health and wellness needs of our kids.

Maia's baon! She's so ready for school!
I believe I also need these biscuits on hand for those really, really busy mornings. With or without the coffee, these biscuits can't be missed. Actually, I was dunkin' some Kraft Tiger energy biscuits for my daughter last night, just in case she wakes up needing extra energy for today.

Here she is, stacking biscuits and cookies up! :)

Yay! Good job babycakes! Haha It's really the little things, the simple things, that matter the most.
I look forward to many, many more Tiger Energy biscuits here.  :)
