Philippines and Indonesia Rule Hot Wheels Southeast Asia Championship 2019

Southeast Asian countries Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and host Philippines battled it
out for the Hot Wheels South East Asia Championship 2019 on October 20, 2019 at the Mall of Asia,
Pasay City.

After an action-packed competition, the Philippines’ mommy and son duo Ms. Aimee Lorraine and Keith Lee reigned supreme in the Junior Division (5-8 years old). Malaysia captured the first runner-
up while Singapore settled for the second runner-up.

Meanwhile, Indonesia’s tandem of Ms. Puti Arimbi and Nabil El Zhar dominated the Senior Division
(9-12 years old) to nab the championship. Thailand and Singapore came in at second and third place,
respectively.

The Hot Wheels South East Asia Championship 2019, which was hosted by Malaysia in 2017 and
Indonesia in 2018, featured exciting obstacles such as the “Save the Hot Wheels City”, the “Giant Loop Action”, and the “Southeast Asia Tour” which help young boys develop creativity, problem-
solving skills and fine motor skills, and build sportsmanship.

No less than Hot Wheels car designer Brendon Vetuskey from Los Angeles, together with Toy
Kingdom AVP Pearl Datiles, Mattel Marketing Manager Cherlyn Chong and Richprime Global Inc. EV Liza Yao graced the activity to lead the awarding ceremonies.

A big hit to Hot Wheel fans and guests was a huge 4x4 Jeep Wrangler, customized and designed by Vetuskey which was on display during the one-day annual event. Also featured in the stunning set-
up are the giant two-storey Loop, die-cast cars display, and the Hot Wheels id Experience.

The event also featured a Hot Wheels apparels fashion show competition featuring kid personalities
as well as performances and appearances of celebrities such as Marlo Mortel, NiƱo Mulach and
Alonzo Mulach.

Car Designer Vetuskey also appeared in a Lazada Live segment where he discussed in-demand Hot
Wheels products such as the Deluxe Stunt Box, the Fast & Furious Car Set, and the Satin & Chrome
Car Collection.

Further, the two largest Hot Wheels collector groups in the country, the Diecast Car Collectors of the
Philippines (DCPH) and the Pinoy Hot Wheels Collectors Club (PHWCC), had the chance to meet and greet Vetuskey to have their cars signed.
