Kiss the Tiramisu is gaining renown for transforming a popular coffee cake into a new masterpiece. The fresh, artisanal menu of the dessert cafe is the brainchild of FTAY Group Company which is composed of friends from military school who decided to team up and redefine the sweets experience.

Shirley Wong, CEO and President of Foodeology Inc. master franchisee in the Philippines said that they came up with the idea of recreating familiar desserts into something different – hence, coining the “foodeology” concept that aimed to enhance dessert dining to a whole new level.

It was usual to get long queues for a cup in the dessert café’s 14 branches all over South Korea. Today, Kiss the Tiramisu is becoming the go-to treat for more people as the brand grows its global franchise across China, Canada, Malaysia, Philippines, and the luxury café is also soon to open in Paris.

Kiss the Tiramisu’s Classic Tiramisu Ice Cream is a fresh take on what tiramisu ice cream is all about. The thick, melts-in-your-mouth smooth layers of soft-served made with pure milk is mixed with generous servings of mascarpone cheese, coffee crumble, butter cookies, and topped with dark chocolate shavings. The fresh ingredients blend into a harmonious symphony of balanced sweetness, with the mascarpone cheese adding a pinch of saltiness to highlight the sweet flavours of the cookies and chocolate. Memories of the rich and smooth ice cream can also be taken home, as they’re served in gold-rimmed acrylic goblets that customers can take out as souvenir and reuse.

As its special offering, Kiss the Tiramisu creates a unique flavor in every country it goes to. In the Philippines, its exclusive ice cream, crafted by Chef Kat Diploma, is called the Mida’s Touch which is soft-served with ube cake and leche flan. It has layers of crushed barquillos, is drizzled with caramel sauce, and real, edible 24k gold. The gold-tipped, highly Instagrammable ice cream is definitely a must-try for its delicious and familiar Filipino taste.

Kiss the Tiramisu offers other specialty ice creams to satisfy sweet cravings. The east-meets-west concoction called Matcha Tiramisu Ice Cream is almost like the Original Tiramisu, but matcha sauce is poured instead of coffee, with a dusting of matcha powder. The Injeolmi Tiramisu Ice Cream puts a spotlight on the Korean delicacy called Injeolmi, or sticky rice cakes dusted with roasted soy bean powder.

For this season, Happier Holidays await at Kiss the Tiramisu as the dessert café presents its specialty Christmas cakes namely Peach Cheesecake and Oreo Mousse Cake which are the perfect dessert centerpieces in festive occasions.

Aside from ice creams and cakes, the cafe is complete with fresh roasted coffees to go with the desserts. Otherwise, one can go for coffee/dessert fusions such as the cheese cream latte, kissing coffee, and tiramisu affogato to name a few.

Kiss the Tiramisu definitely hits the spot for sweets lovers and the indulgent cheese-infused and coffee-infused desserts will make you crave for a glimpse of sweet heaven again. Two branches are already available in the Philippines with the first branch located at the Ground Floor of Three Central in Valero Street, Makati City, and the second branch is situated at the Ground Floor of the Mindanao Lobby Entrance of TriNoma Mall.
