That's right!

No matter what brand you buy or no matter how expensive your skin care regimen is, if you don't stay hydrated inside and out you will not have the skin that you want.

Skin care is important, but proper hydration is super important too. I haven't always been a water drinker, and I would have off days (read: dehydrated) where I just didn't have enough energy and I would get the little headaches. Seriously, why is coffee and milk tea so much easier to drink? The struggle to stay hydrated is real, BUT I have finally learned (the hard way) and now understand its benefits.

Because, WATER is LIFE.

And that is why these #WaterfulSkincare and #PurifiedByNature brands have come together to give us simple tips and tricks on achieving beautiful skin with water.

1) Take a SIP of water filtered by nature.

The best drink to help you cleanse is water. I have issues with drinking it, but I'm REALLY trying my best to drink more water now.

SRP is P9, P11, and P20 for 350mL 500mL and 1L bottles.
The right amount of water to drink for optimal hydration is eight glasses of water/ 2 liters/ or about two 500mL SIP bottles. Not only does this make your skin beautiful but it also promotes better health. We all want to stay fit and sexy so drinking more water everyday can also improve metabolism.

SIP Purified Water is the first volcanic purified water in the Philippines, and their rigorous six-steps purification process leaves their water tasting crisp and clean. It is available at SM Hypermart,   7-11, Vikings, Four Seasons, NIU, Fishermall, Hi-Top, Landmark, Family Mart,  Nord's Breadhub,  Super 8, Unitop, Waltermart, Lawson's, Circle K,  Alfamart,  Addy's Market,  Budget Mart, Southstar drug.

2) Don't forget to remove your makeup.

We all know that the mortal sin every make up user can commit would be sleeping with their make up on. Not only is it unhygienic but it can also clog your pores and cause acne breakouts. Plus, it would stain your bed sheets and pillow. This is why I encourage you guys to use CREER Cleansing Water to remove makeup.

These cleansing waters are actually formulated with Spa Water from the Shimane Prefecture in Japan — this place is home to Japanese women with the most beautiful skin according to a survey conducted in Japan. I'm amazed at how modern and innovative Japan is when it comes to products, and these cleansing waters are no exception! These are multifunctional products that can cleanse, tone, mildy exfoliate and moisturize the skin. So you don’t need to use a facial wash before or after using Creer. They are formulated in such a way that you don’t even need to wash it off after using.

The Cleansing Water or the blue variant is ideal for light makeup while the Cleansing Water Oil In or the orange variant is perfect for heavy or waterproof makeup. Each 330mL bottle is priced at P545.00 each.

3) Exfoliate.

Cleansing, toning and moisturizing are NOT the only steps you need to get clear, smooth skin. You also need to exfoliate! The upper layer of our skin is made up of dead skin cells that are naturally replaced every 2 weeks but as we age, this process slows down so we need to help our skin exfoliate!

Cure Natural Aqua Gel gently exfoliates your skin by getting rid of dead skin cells, excess dirt and oil that regular cleansing can’t remove. By doing this, you are giving way to a fresher, healthier and newer layer of skin. This product is so popular that 1 bottle is sold every 7.5 seconds in Japan! It was even included in the media kit given to Hollywood celebrities at the Academy Awards before! That’s how good this product is!

Cure Natural Aqua Gel avoids the following skin problems:
  • Pigmentation
  • Spots
  • Pimples
  • Dull skin
  • Blackheads
  • Dry skin
  • Oily skin
  • Wrinkles
How to use:  One pump for the forehead and one for each cheek. Use this after cleansing and after drying your skin. Just gently massage the gel onto your skin and wait for solid clumps to form. These are dead skin cells, dirt and oil! You can also use Cure on different areas of your body such as your elbows, knees, armpits, buttocks or cuticles.

Cure is priced at P1500 per 250g bottle. It might seem a bit pricey, but it's super sulit if you ask me. The suggested usage is twice a week, which means a bottle can last up to 4-6 months. Sulit na, di ba? It’s available in Beauty Bar stores and selected SM Department Stores, Watson’s and Rustans Department Stores.

4) Make your own water mist!

After removing your makeup and exfoliating, it’s now time to prep your skin for your serum or moisturizer. You can do this after removing all your makeup or after getting out of the shower to cleanse off tap or hard water, which has many impurities. So if your skin is sensitive, it may not be good for you. That’s why I recommend spraying on purified water all over after washing your face or showering.

Just buy a bottle of SIP and place it in a reusable container instead of buying those exorbitantly priced water packaged in aerosols spray cans. Not only are you doing your skin a favor but you are also helping the environment by not using aerosol and reusing and reducing waste. It’s just as good as any water mist in fancy packaging. You can use this to refresh yourself after a hot day by popping it in the fridge and just drink the rest of the leftover water.

If you feel like your skin needs a little boost you can add other ingredients such as Rose Water or Rice water by steeping rose petals or rice.

5) Moisturize with Cure Natural Moisturizing gel

I don't have the time and patience to do the so-called ten-step skin care routine, so I just slap on moisturizer (that's Cure Natural Moisturizing gel) and hops into bed.

It can also be used as a primer! So if you are lazy like me, then this product is for you.

You would see droplets form when your skin is moisturized and if your skin is dry, no droplets will form as it will fully absorb the product. This is because it will only absorb what your skin needs. You can also feel a thin film forming on top of your skin. This locks in the moisture so it won’t just evaporate.

It’s available in selected SM Department stores, Watson’s and Rustan’s Department Stores at P1500 per 100g tube.

6) Make DIY face masks.

Apparently, green tea is not just good for breakfast or afternoon tea time, but it's good for the skin as well! It has the most antioxidants, which is good for ageing and getting rid of dull skin.

The beautiful and radiant host of the event, Marj Sia, taught us how to make DIY face masks using rice paper. Yep, the ones used for Vietnamese spring rolls. I'm totally crazy about hydrogel masks but they’re so expensive, that's why I'm super happy to find cheaper alternatives and found this instead.

Ingredients:

Two teabags, hot water (using SIP) and 1 sheet Vietnamese rice paper.

First, steep two green tea bags in hot water for a while until it turns green and the reason why we are using two is because you and want to get all those juice out from those tea leaves. After it cools down, pour that over your Vietnamese rice paper and after a minute it's going to sip all the liquid and turn soft. The texture is almost exactly like hydrogel!

Leave it on your skin for about 15 minutes and reveal smooth glass skin after removing it. It’s cheaper than a packaged hydrogel mask because an entire set of rice paper is only P100 and there are a lot of cheap tea brands out there. Not only do the teabags give you the ingredients for your face mask but you can pop these two teabags into the refrigerator and place it on your eye bags to rid of puffiness and dark circles!

Green tea is an allergen so you have to make sure that you're not allergic to it. You can also try using peppermint tea for that tingling or cooling sensation on the skin. And if you’re adventurous, you can try out other active ingredients!

If you find all of this too tedious, there’s always Hadabisei Face Masks which is also under Beauty Box Corp. and available at Beauty Bar stores.

Cure Natural Aqua Gel and Creer Cleansing Water is under Beautybox Corp., the company that brought famous Japanese brands such as K-Palette, Cure, Kracie, Baby Foot and Himecoto to the Philippines. Synergy Pacific is the manufacturers of SIP purified water, a sister company of Vikings group.

That's all, ladies! Have a beautiful day and whatever you do, make sure you take some time to pamper yourself — you deserve it! 😽
