Catch In Her Shoes on 2nd Avenue

Ever wondered what it's like to be in someone else's shoes? Well, I certainly do. Not that I stalk them, but that is how I find inspiration. Like most women, I wear a lot of hats ( and shoes) to fill myself. As a blogger, owner of Shuttercount Photography, wife and mom, I try my best to take care of my family while I constantly juggle different responsibilities.

Though it is not easy to take on other jobs and active roles outside the home, it brings a lot of challenges that also make our lives very fulfilling. Agree? It's not an easy feat though, that is why we need to learn from other women too. That being said, I'm glad that I was able to watch the latest episode of "In Her Shoes," new 30-minute lifestyle magazine show on 2nd Avenue last Sunday.

We've just moved into a new house and while we're making every effort to get settled in, I've found this lovely package at our doorstep.  It's a gentle reminder that I shouldn't miss an episode of In Her Shoes. :) I watched the latest episode with the visual artist, Christina Dy and I was inspired by her passion and skill for the art. What I've learned from that episode: "You're gonna fail a lot of times, but you have to keep on going."

I love art and I love seeing her get into her craft with so much passion. Also, it's amazing how moms like me can learn from the stories of other amazing women whose passions are not limited to home, child-rearing, beauty and fashion.

The show steps into the different lives of 2nd Avenue women as it takes a sneak peek into the distinct interests and cliques of varied archetypes of women -- from bloggers, artsy types, the foodies, and the fitness buffs.

China Cojuangco-Gonzalez,  a multi-faceted woman herself,  is hosting "In Her Shoes". “I’m a chef together with my husband Gino, and a mother to my beautiful daughter, Lucia. Naturally, I’m curious about what other women like us do as they go about their lives. Join me, as we discover the modern woman’s story, her passions, goals, missteps, and triumphs.”
