I swear this SpongeBob song has been stuck in my head for an entire week because my daughter has been watching the same DVD and she's been listening to the same song over and over again. SpongeBob is a pretty cool guy though. Adele may set fire to the rain, but SpongeBob can make a campfire underwater. How cool is that? :)

It is one of the longest-running, most-loved cartoons in Nickelodeon history, and whether you like it or not, this show is simply hard to ignore.

SpongeBob Squarepants lives in a pineapple under the sea, but all the way from his pineapple at Bikini Bottom, Spongie is coming to SM North this summer over the next few weeks. This is a dream come true for SpongeBob fans, giving your kids the chance to see him in person. There will be meet and greets, where you can get up close to SpongeBob and even get a picture taken with him.

WHERE: SM North Edsa Skygarden and The Block Atrium

SpongeBob takes centerstage this summer so get ready for a spongy good time at SM North. Visit Bikini Bottom and have your picture taken at Spongebob and Squidward's house, or go to everyone's fave underwater restaurant, the Krusty Krab! Littlies will also get the chance to meet (and cuddle) their fave cartoon characters. So have the best day ever and remember to bring your camera so you can take some pictures.

Also, my daughter, Maia, had a sponge-tastic fun at the launch of Spongebob Summer at the North at SM North Edsa yesterday. I was supposed to get my driver's license but this day has proved that my daughter's happiness is more important to me than I ever thought possible. I guess Spongebob will get his driver's license before I even get one. ;)

During the event, the Block Atrium will be transformed into an underwater city inspired by the Bikini Bottom from April 5 to May 31.

You can take a tour of SpongeBob's Pineapple House, be amazed at his exquisite furniture and décor, and even get to meet his pet snail, Gary.

Squidward's house, on the other hand, which resembles an Easter Island moai, welcomes water lovers with soaking sound effects giving them an underwater feel of Bikini Bottom.

Fact:  Squidward is a cephalopod or an octopus, not a squid! This moody creature reminds me of someone. ;p

It’s never too late or too early to get your grub on at Krasty Krub for a Krabby Patty! :) Get to visit the famous Krusty Krab and experience for yourself where SpongeBob works and constantly tries to vie for the employee of the month award.

The Launch of SpongeBob Summer at the North was hosted by Jive led by Chubi del Rosario. I often watch them perform at some kiddie parties that we cover at Shuttercount and the level of fun and energy never fails to amaze me.

The SM City North EDSA Skygarden will also be delighted with the SpongeBob SquarePants theme, giving mallgoers more reasons to enjoy the summer breeze as they stroll along its walkway.  Skygarden ponds will display SpongeBob’s Pond, Patrick Star’s Pond, and the Jellyfish Fields while SpongeBob SquarePants will wow everyone at the waterfalls.
