Just Happily BROWsing and THREADing at Browhaus Manila

I was in a middle of some serious brow drama. I dunno.. I guess I was caught in a bad brow-mance.

In the past, the most I would do would be plucking with a pair of tweezers so I am well aware that my eyebrows were in dire need of shaping. So when I was given a chance to try out the brow services at Browhaus Manila, I didn't hesitate.... and today, I just tried brow threading for the first time.

Although I was told by a friend that she felt battered and bruised after having her eyebrows threaded. Someone even asked her,"Who has murdered your eyebrows?". So I was a bit nervous too. But I knew I had to try it 'cause I've plucked and tweezed too much before and felt like I was always in a state of shock. That's why I thought, maybe it's about time to have the overgrown hedges or that scraggly little weeds over my eyebrows threaded once and for all.

The whole Browhaus experience was over in about 15 minutes. The eyebrow architect named Gladys was very friendly and she made certain no hair was left behind. She really took time to explain what she needed to do with my eyebrows. Never has anyone explained the whole process so thoroughly and now I can't imagine going anywhere else. LOL I was given some "ice cream", the cream used to lessen the redness after threading, cooling up any skin flames and fires in an instant.

Then Gladys put some brow powder. I was told that when putting brow powder, I should put a darker shade at the outer end/ tail of the eyebrow and then use a lighter shade at the inner part of the eyebrow.

The worst part was holding my own eyelid. It was a bit painful though but it's tolerable. Also, this may vary according to an individual's threshold. As for me, pain scale is 2/10 Of course, 10 being the most painful. :) The best part? A sculpted brow. Overall Rating: Positive.

I highly recommend Browhaus for some serious brow shaping! A sculpted brow can make all the difference! Brow shaping or even threading is a beauty ritual that can quickly change your look. The perfect arch really opens up the face. I mostly feel like I could be a completely new person after my brows were freshly done.

Now here's the Before and After pics. (Just ignore my eyebags though. )
Before
After
Although, Glads told me that I should let my eyebrows completely grown then have them re-shaped to make it appear more equal because my other brow is thicker than the other. Oh well, that's what I get from shameless shaving and plucking. LOL

Of course, what is an eyebrow architect without a blueprint. So here's the Browhaus Blueprint System. This is a precise system designed to create the perfect brow. The result is what I would like to think as the architect’s brow, an arch of both curved magnificence and technical brilliance.

If you are not satisfied with the shape of your eyebrows, just grow them out. It's better thicker than thinner. I know, sad but true.

It's okay if you look like Bert for a couple weeks, it'll be worth it in the long run. Extremely thin eyebrows are a very common problem (yeah, it's my problem too) and often times, eyebrows must be completely grown before any shaping may be considered. Browhaus' Extend Lash and Brow Serum may help with the eyebrow regrowing process.

On the other hand, when shaping the eyebrows, less is always more. Extremely thin and overly manicured eyebrows can make a face appear older and unnatural. Softer arches look more youthful and are very much preferred.

Oh and puhlease, say NO to permanent tattoo eyebrows! LOL

Also, don't ever try to experiment and groom your eyebrows all by yourself. Just leave it to the skilled hands of the professionals.

This place is located at Greenbelt 5, which is quite convenient. Although you might get lost so if in doubt, ask the guard what is the exact location and clear directions on how to get there. But if you're too lazy to ask, follow this: Take the escalator in front of Astrovision at 3rd flr. Upon reaching the fourth floor, just turn right and after the Studio Fix Salon, just turn left. :)

The place is clean and chic with apple green and bright red tone colored walls and doors.

Behind that light green door is the perfect brow that you've been dreaming of.

And the chair.. so comfy.

You'll never miss this huge, huggable gorilla waiting for you outside...

And her fluffy, furry little babies too. :)

Now go get that brow saved and resurrected, and make sure your brows are camera ready. You can have it threaded with a floss-like cotton thread from Browhaus or hot wax used to clean up your brows from other brow salon. You decide. I'll go for threading though. It's a no-brainer!

Here's the prices of their brow and lash services:

I would definitely trust Gladys and the other experts of Browhaus to guide me in getting the perfect arch again soon. This was my first brow threading experience, but it won't be my last! :)

That said, my new eyebrows made me smile today. That, and this wonderful Emoticake's Smiley cake that I received from the health event which I attended earlier today. Glad my baby girl loved it!

So here's just one friendly reminder... Don't fall victim to brow crime! Let justice be served: a lifetime sentence of spotlessly good brows.  :)

A gazillion thanks to Browhaus Manila. Will be back soon.

  12. Hello this is kind of of off topic but I was wondering if
blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.

I'm starting a blog soon but have no coding skills
so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience.
Any help would be enormously appreciated!
