BUM's Reveal your Dark Side Grand Fashion Show

Everybody has a dark side and I'm just glad I've uncovered mines. Our dark side makes us human, that's what makes us who we are. People are all different. You have to appreciate everyone, but you don't have to like everyone.

If you have a story to tell, don’t keep it to yourself. Flaunt and let the world know through fashion. Don't be ashamed to unleash and reveal your dark side and you'll realize that your dark side isn't as bad as Yoda says it is. :) Maybe a short walk on the dark side is where you'll find your light... and maybe, just maybe, that's exactly where you'll shine.

Local clothing brand BUM brings the Cosplay trend to the fore with a one-of-a-kind fashion show at the SM Mall of Asia.

This has been the youth’s battle-cry these days. Not only are they daring, wearing their colors on their sleeves proudly, they are pushing the envelope when it comes to dressing up, as well. Even the term “costume play” or “cosplay”, which is the act of dressing up as a fictional character inspired from an anime TV series, or a character they idolized, has found its way into the youth’s wardrobe. Cosplay is no longer a style but it has become a “trend” that is normally seen and worn on the streets.

To underscore this “daring” and “experimental” style philosophy, BUM put together a fashion show last November 25 at the Music Hall of the Mall of Asia in Pasay City. Called Reveal Your Darkside, this fashion celebration is the culminating event of an ongoing nationwide contest. Since August 8, BUM has been receiving through its website (http://www.bumequipment.com.ph) countless entries from young stylistas who want to share the world their passion for the brand and the cosplay trend.
Bea Binene, one of GMA 7’s youngest teen star was one of the models in BUM apparel’s biggest fashion show. As BUM’s latest celebrity endorser, BEA strut the runway wearing the latest Holiday Collection of BUM with “Cosplay” as theme of the show, together with Empress Schuck and Dino Imperial.

Interestingly, the fashion show showcased BUM’s new collection for the Holidays. So Cosplay and BUM fanatics witnessed a one-of-a-kind fashion event that would inspire them to express their angst, passion, and identity more freely through BUM Collections.
There was a special Cosplay contest for the BUM COSPLAY competition wherein cosplayers had their catwalk presentation.

Mall goers enjoyed BUM’s treats as early as 1pm with live games on screen while shoppers played live video games at the Music Hall venue and some even won fab prizes courtesy of the sponsors Netopia Internet Café and Ideal Vision. More event raffle prizes were given such as NOKIA C1 cellphones, five (5) pieces of P500 GLOBE prepaid loads and BUM gift packs.

Oh and I also took home some loots and got one of these voodoo dolls with scents inside, which is made out of just sack.. sort of like a scarecrow. Now isn't that cute? Go grab one! :D
