Everything You Need to Know About Happy Lift at Luminisce Skin Clinic

Want to hear the shortest horror story?

Wrinkles.

Other parts of the story include signs of aging such as enlarged pores, wrinkles, age spots, blemishes, dryness and sagging skin. FYI, the term to describe this sagging skin is "jowls".  It can kick up a lot of worries, doubts, insecurities and fear, because Father Time, in fact, moves really fast. And really, can you blame him? He's just doing his job, momsh!

But there's also a scientific explanation for this...

As we age, collagen production slows down, which is the reason why the skin below your chin or jawline may have started to sag. The skin becomes thinner, and skin elasticity is reduced. All of these can contribute to seemingly excess, sagging skin, and wrinkles that make you look more tired, sad, or angry even when you are not. Also, some people are not born with good genes, and it's a super sad reality for most women. And yes, that includes me!

Since I'm on an anti-losyang campaign, I'd  like to share my joy and discovery of a new procedure that allows a woman’s beauty to shine through.

And that, my friend, is Happy Lift.

I recently sat down with my favorite beauty bloggers at the Happy Lift launch last Tuesday at Luminisce Skin Clinic, where the London-trained dermatologist and wellness advocate Dra. Kaycee Reyes and Menarini, Italy’s largest bio-pharmaceutical company, recently launched the revolutionary new approach to face lifting called the Happy Lift. Also, the beautiful Dra. Kaycee divulged her secrets in achieving a younger and smaller face (spoiler: it involves a LOT of needles and threads).

What is Happy Lift?

Happy Lift is a minimally invasive procedure that lifts and holds sagging skin with the use of unique threads. This revolutionary new approach to face lifting helps patients achieve a refreshed look with more defined facial contours. With this treatment, patients can look and feel more confident in embracing and expressing beauty in their own terms.

We also got a sneak peek of the actual demo of the procedure done by Dra. Kaycee and I'm super amazed on how she did it so effortlessly. As in chill lang!

“Unlike some conventional sutures used in traditional thread lifting procedures, Happy Lift threads have tiny barbs. Once inserted into the skin, these tiny barbs lift, stimulate collagen production, and provide enough support to lift and hold soft facial tissues in place. Happy Lift patients are able to enjoy longer-lasting results up to two (2) years”, says Dra. Kaycee Reyes.

Who are the best candidates for Happy Lift?

She recommends Happy Lift for individuals in their mid-30s and up to their 60s who want to achieve a naturally youthful look without taking the surgical route.

Now, I'm sure you are dying to ask this question too...

Does it hurt? Is it painful?

According to these pretty bloggers, Lace, Shen and Sky, who have tried Happy Lift a few weeks ago, it's not the best thing you've ever felt but it shouldn't hurt. The pain is tolerable and you can even go to the mall right after the procedure.

Is it safe? Are there any complications?

It is a safe procedure associated with minor complications, and the incidence of complications was low. Only 6% of the patients had slight post-operation asymmetry that was easily corrected. Minor complications experienced by patients included small ecchymosis, mild erythema, small hemorrhage, mild transitory esthesia, and mild post-operation swelling.

Happy Lift procedure at Luminisce Skin Clinic is minimally invasive and makes use of both topical and local anesthetics for maximum patient comfort. The actual Happy Lift procedure takes an hour or less and patients can resume their normal lifestyle after the procedure. After a day or two, it does hurt a little if you have a low pain tolerance, and there's a minor to mild swelling that usually only lasts for 3-4 days. This is, of course, a normal inflammation response after any kind of minimally invasive procedure.

When can you see the results?

In two weeks, patients can readily enjoy their more youthful appearance that shaves years off their face with a more defined jawline and V-shape look.

Happy Lift before and after, procedure performed by Dra. Kaycee Reyes

The end result of all these is a younger and smaller "hugis-bigas" face with a more defined jawline and V-shape look! Cheeks were significantly more lifted. Jawline looked "on point" meaning it's significantly more defined and tighter on the chin. Obviously, the results are amazing! It's the best procedure if you want to get 10 years back on your face. Yep, I did the math.

Believe it or not, you can look younger with a little help from Dra. Kaycee and Happy Lift. It reduces the appearance of Jowls, Saggy Cheeks, and Double Chin!

“My cheeks were starting to sag and I thought these were just fats that I could not burn even with regular workouts. After a consultation with Dra. Kaycee Reyes, she explained that I have what is called jowling. My jowls make me look tired and sad since they make my lower face appear drooping – including more prominent nasolabial folds and downturned corners of the lips. All of these are something that is common to women in their 30s like me but I was so relieved to learn that Happy Lift can address these concerns. I decided to get a Happy Lift procedure at Luminisce Skin Clinic because I want to look my best and feel confident at any age. Something that is very important to Filipinas who want to enjoy and achieve the most out of every season in their lives”, says Lace Llanora, a work from home mom in her 30s, and Happy Lift patient.

How long do results last?

Results can last up to two (2) years.

How much does it cost?

Happy Lift costs Php60,000 to Php100,000.
