What I love About Staying Home and Playing Free Online Solitaire Games During the Pandemic

Stuck at home? Are you bored?

Until it's safer to start going out again, take this opportunity to make the most of your time indoors. Many have found a new outlet by turning to digital diversions to stay sane; like watching Netflix, and doing some virtual home workouts. Online shopping and playing online games for much-needed entertainment or some sort of relief in isolation during the pandemic.

These are just some of the things I love about staying home during the pandemic and this is exactly how I make the most out of it!

I am happiest when I'm home with my kids. That's why I give them the extra attention they love by playing online games on their free time. I also like some "me-time" so I play online games alone to pass my idle time.

If I were to name one of the most classic online games though, I’m sure we can all agree that Solitaire is the most "classic" game of them all! It was so popular, that it is still well-loved today! Many work hours were lost to this old school and challenging card game and yes, I'm definitely one of them!

Fun fact: Solitaire was most likely influenced by fortune telling. As the cards are laid out, you may notice a similarity to the way Fortune Tellers lay out their Tarot cards, revealing hidden secrets with each turn.

That is why when I play this game, I always ask a question that is answerable by YES or NO. It's like I'm asking for a " secret answer" from a fortune teller. If I win the game, it means the answer to my question is YES and if I lose, the answer is NO. It sounds silly but it's amazing how simple yet fun online games can help old and new gamers alike keep safe and sane during the pandemic.

I searched for "free browser-based Solitaire games" and found a site that's worth checking out.  I discovered https://www.solitaire.org/  which offer a collection of card games, mahjong tile games, hidden object games, logic puzzles, word games, and a bunch of other fun online games that you can play directly in your web browser for FREE! They even have fun arcade games and match 3 games that were inspired by the likes of Candy Crush and Zuma. I also like that it is a progressive web app which will even work offline.

Anyone can try it! They have a variety of online games that kids and kids-at-heart will surely love! Also, there's no need to download apps or set up a user account.

So although I don't like my kids staring at a screen for a long time, I make sure to set a time limit so it won't become an unhealthy habit for them and I make sure that they visit sites like this that are safe and kid-friendly.

The categories are super fun and simple and I really enjoyed playing the Solitaire game! It's a game of concentration and skill that can be played alone, and I just like the idea of playing games like this, not as competition but for the sake of play and just to have fun.

So if you're looking for fun browser-based online games but cannot afford paid video games and are often stuck playing mobile apps that frustrate users into buying upgrades or accidentally clicking ads, check this out! It's such a great way to beat stress or boredom during lockdown.

As more and more people look for ways to pass their idle time, we will always find ways like playing online games to have fun at home.

It's like a blessing in disguise. The extra free time gives us new ways to have fun at home. In the age of extended quarantines, social distancing, and mental health strains, it also led everyone who is online to stumble upon new sites that can offer some relief from present grievances. This, my friend, is one of them.

So what are you waiting for? Try it! You're now one step closer to winning the game. Enjoy!
